About me
Hi! I’m Amy, the artist behind Haunted Hedgerow. Creating is my love language. Everything I make is a love letter to this life, this earth, this body. When I perceive beauty, or feel strong emotions, I make art as a response. I’d say most of my art is inspired by nature, emotions, colours, and witchcraft. I hope my creations resonate with you and make you feel something.
I use many art mediums. For illustration I use digital and traditional painting and sketching, printmaking, and embroidery. I also make 2d animations, brooches, short films, music (I’m a singer-songwriter under the name of Amy Leyla), and I’ve dabbled in making perfume. Finding a new way to create and express myself and then working to get better at it is one of my favourite things.
I also have a chronic illness, I’m half Turkish, queer, and a witch. I love to forage, make music, play video games, cry at films, and pet as many cats as possible.
